Welcome, and thanks for reading the fine print. Sweets Bait & Lures is a small, family owned bait and lure brand operated by Avida LLC out of Florida, at fishwithsweets.com. These terms cover how our online store works and what you and we each agree to when you shop with us. We have kept them in plain English. This is a plain-language summary, not legal advice. When you use the site or place an order, you agree to what follows.

Using the site

You may browse the site for your personal, non-commercial use. Please do not misuse it, copy our brand or content without permission, or try to disrupt or interfere with the service.

Our products are handmade

Every bag is poured by hand in small batches. This means no two baits are perfectly identical. Color, flake, and small details can vary slightly from bag to bag and from what you see in a photo on your screen. That variation is normal for a handmade product and is not a defect. If something is actually wrong with what you received, our Return and Refund Policy covers it.

Orders, pricing, and pre-orders

Product details, availability, and prices are shown in good faith and may change. Some items may be listed as pre-order or coming soon and are not yet available for immediate purchase; if you pre-order, we will let you know when it is ready to ship.

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. We accept it when we send your confirmation, and until then we can decline or cancel any order for a reasonable business reason, including an item being sold out, suspected fraud, or an obvious pricing or description error on our end. If we find an error in the price or description of something you ordered, we will contact you before charging or shipping and let you choose to continue at the corrected terms or cancel for a full refund.

Prices are in US dollars. Payment is processed securely through our Shopify checkout and its payment provider, and we do not see or store your full card number. You are responsible for any sales tax that applies, which is calculated at checkout. For how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy.

Shipping and returns

How we ship, what it costs, and how long it takes are covered in our Shipping Policy. How we handle problems, changes of heart, and refunds is covered in our Return and Refund Policy. Both are part of these terms by reference.

Using our baits safely and sensibly

Our baits are made for fishing by anglers who know their way around tackle. A few honest, common-sense points.

Our products are not toys and are not intended for children. They can include small parts, and they are made from materials that carry a California Proposition 65 warning, which you can read in full in our Legal Notice. Keep them away from small children and pets, do not put them in your mouth, and wash your hands after handling them.

Fishing happens in the real world, on real water, with your own rods, hooks, line, and judgment. We make a quality bait, but we cannot control how, where, or on what gear it gets used. We are not responsible for lost fish, lost or damaged tackle, snags, break-offs, or injuries that come from how a bait is rigged, cast, or fished, or from conditions outside our hands.

Our brand and content

The SWEETS™ name, the "Hook 'em on Sweets!" tagline, our logo, our product and color names, our photos, and the content on this site belong to Sweets Bait & Lures (Avida LLC) and may not be used without our written permission. Enjoy the baits, share your catches, tag us: all of that is welcome. Lifting our brand is not.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Avida LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products or our site, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the product involved. Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Dispute resolution and governing law

If something goes wrong, talk to us first. Almost everything gets solved with a friendly email, and we would much rather fix a problem than fight about one. If a dispute cannot be worked out directly, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any legal action will take place in Florida.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our shop grows or the law changes. The current version always lives on this page with its last-updated date, and using the site after an update means you accept the current version.
